It is okay; not to be okay! Yep, there I said it….
We have been socialized and spiritualized to believe that our feelings of grief, sadness or loneliness are abnormal and unnatural, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. We must not buy into the society and/or spiritual pressure to FAKE IT until we MAKE IT!
- We do not have to be ashamed that we are sad!
- We do not have to hid that we are sad!
- It is okay that our sadness makes others uncomfortable!
Grief and sadness are the normal and natural reaction to a significant emotional loss of any kind. There is nothing wrong with you… you are experiencing the natural affects of being a human.
